The world of bullying has been involving over the past few decades. No longer is the common "cinema-scene" of bullies beating up kids or shoving them in lockers the main form of bullying; it has now involved to the modern electric world, which can be considerably worse. Now a days, kids have so many resources and connected networks, it can feel like they are constantly connected with each other, which bullies have come across as a wonderful tool. Cyber bullying has become one of the most serious forms of bullying in today's society. A great explanation of cyber bullying can be seen here ----> http://www.brainpop.com/technology/computersandinternet/cyberbullying/ . Cyber bullying is much more personal, and has so much more of a sense of "harassment" then the "old-style" of bullying. This is because of the psychological effect it carries; because of the fact that it is done through things such as texting or social networking, bullying can occur at all times of the day, even if the bully is not actually in the presence of the victim. It is this sense of constant harassment that really gets to kids today. It makes them feel like there is no escape, and after enduring the constant hate from all of these other children, they start to believe it themselves. This is really a main cause of why teen suicide has increased.
One of the biggest problems for the victims of cyber bullying is how they feel extremely reluctant to talk about it with anyone, especially adults, for fear of being called a "snitch" and getting bullied even more. This fear is warranted, but should not be a reason to not communicate your problem with others. There are many other easier ways to avoid conflict with cyber bullies, and to escape the harassment. The best way would be, if on a social networking site, to "de-friend" the aggressor, and then proceed to block them. If it is by texting or telephone, simply blocking the number does the trick. Many steps are being taken to fight against cyber bullying, a great article that shows this and other ways to beat cyber bullying can be scene here----> http://www.50statesonline.org/how-to-beat-cyber-bullying.htm . Cyber bullying can be stopped; you just have to realize there is always an escape.

I agree with everything you said here Tucker, the biggest problem is a fear of getting help. If we all work to prevent the bullying in the first place, we can stop this issue and save many lives.
